Financial Details

Financial Requirements:

  • Employers must utilize training funds within one year of contract approval.
  • Training participants must utilize training dollars within one year of contract approval.
  • No more than $50,000 dollars of Maricopa County 's Employed Worker Training Program funds will be approved for any one employer/company.
  • No more than $ 8,000 dollars will be approved for any individual training participant.
  • Employer shall not procure, contact for, nor incur costs to be paid from program funds prior to the project start date. This date is determined by the date of the contract that has been signed by all parties identified.

Matching Fund Requirement:

  • An employer with 51 employees or more receiving funding for training shall provide 50 percent of the cost of the training in cash.
  • An employer with 50 or fewer employees may elect to provide 50 percent of the cost of the incumbent training with 25 percent cash and 25 percent in-kind contributions.

Acceptable In-Kind Contributions:

  • Trainees wage plus fringe benefits while participating in a training program
  • Training space or facilities at an employer's place of business used during training.
  • All in-kind contributions must be submitted on the In-Kind Contribution Form with support documentation.
